Lord Michael Cashman CBE – Founding trustee

Michael was Paul’s husband. They were a formidable duo of 31 years. A successful actor, singer, writer and director, Michael held several positions in the Labour Party, and was an elected Member of the European Parliament (1999–2014). His award-winning career has focused relentlessly on protecting the rights of minorities, and promoting humanist values in a strong and united Europe. His memoir, One of Them, was published in 2020 with Bloomsbury Publishing.

Vanessa Bowcock

Vanessa is a major gift fundraiser with experience across politics, culture and education. Like Paul, she has a passion for issues around equality and social justice. She was a great friend of Paul’s, and proudly serves as a Trustee.

Tom Corcoran

Tom works in public affairs for a well-known UK telecoms company, and previously worked with and for several charitable causes. He is passionate about equalities and the LGBTQ+ community, particularly the positive impact visibility can have on someone’s life – and especially at work. He first met Paul and Michael when he worked at the UK Labour Party. Both made a lasting impression on Tom.

Jane Hogarth

Jane and Paul shared a deep passion for social justice, equality and good times, and became the best of friends. Jane has worked with a number of charities over the last 10 years, specialising in all areas of major gifts fundraising.

Rebecca Wheatley

Rebecca is a hard-working actress, singer and presenter. She is best known as a regular on Casualty, a frequent contributor on The Wright Stuff, and touring widely in theatre. She met Paul 25 years ago and was instantly enthralled by his passion for life and relentless determination to make a difference. They became close friends and worked keenly together to raise funds and awareness for important issues.

John Reid

A leading force in worldwide artist management throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s, John Reid was responsible for guiding the careers of Elton John, Queen, Lionel Ritchie, Billy Connolly, Barry Humphries, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Michael Flatley, among others. John was Chairman of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and was keenly involved with charities including CSV, the Sports Aid Foundation, Music Therapy, and co-founded the Elton John Aids Foundation. He was a trustee for the Brits School.

Michelle Collins

Michelle is a renowned actress and TV presenter. She featured in numerous theatre, film and TV productions, including EastEnders, Coronation Street, Real Women, Sunburn, and Two Thousand Acres of Sky. Michelle and Paul were deep close friends for almost 30 years.
